Banded Horn

Just finished this one and is a copy of one of the horns that were displayed at the Georgia Art Museum. Bands are horn,tip is two pieces of deer antler and base is dogwood.

 Nice work Ron. I like Dogwood and Holly for Southern horns, great wood to work with and native to the areas. Also a Great choice on the shape of the raw horn.

This horn looks even better in my hands, now that it's mine. Thank you Ron for making this Ga horn for me. It was a pleasure having lunch with you and your wife today. You are a great craftsman and fine person.

Very nice looking horn!   TS Michael blew over one of my dogwoods.   I will have to harvest it for horn base plugs.

That is a beaut Ron.  I like the slight blue cast to the color.  I agree with others that the base, bands and plug matching are a neat tough that pulls everything together.  Good choice for a raw horn as well.  Keep it up friend!   

Doug, you got a fine horn.  And yes, Ron and Louise are good people.   :-)
