Joe Schell Scalper

Joe Schell and I  discussed a scalper shown in WEAPONS IN EARLY AMERICAN HISTORY by Gordon and Taylor. Joe made me a version of the scalper which I like very much. The original had a diamond shaped handle as does Joe's version.  I think Joe used 1085 for the blade and cherry for the handle. The knife arrived as Cousin Willie would say sharp enough to slice ham for your in-laws.

Good looking knife there Tim. I have several of Joes knives. Fine craftsman. He is currently working on a rifle for me
