Cofer Lock Conversion
« on: January 21, 2019, 07:35:14 PM »
I thought this lock stamp might interest some of you Southern boys. The lock makers name has been over stamped Cofer. Who I assume converted it to percussion.  If you are not familiar with Cofer, he made the Cofer Confederate revolver . Today one of more rare Confederate revolvers. The lock is on a rifle by J.Crummey.

Looks like it said M. M. Maslin originally.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
