I like about everything about this gun, I've come back to look at it several times. The over all profile is very racey. I like the plain wood, it looks pretty hard from my angle. The trigger guard and triggers are outstanding, you're a helluva blacksmith. Generally a good blacksmith and good gunstocker don't reside I the same body unless you're Mr. Pratt. I like the way you handle the lack of buttplate, the curvature is very attractive. The keys are intriguing as well, I hate doing those little varmints but I like seeing them on somebody else's work when they are well executed. I like the brass pipes with the simple rings on the ends and how you shaped the RR entry hole. All in all it's excellent work. Wayne is a pretty discriminating buyer so I'd say you're doing quite well.

Thanks Mike. Making a good trigger guard is the hardest piece of the rifle for me to make. The stock design is one I've used on several rifles and like a lot.

Great lines on a rifle, like lovely ladies, don’t need adornment to radiate beauty. Very nicely done. God bless, Marc

It just keeps looking better with each step! That lock will be breathing fire as soon as spring time comes.

RUST??? Oh my goodness. They were bright and shiny the last time I saw them. Now I’m gonna have to unrusty my gun when I get it home  8). Seriously, they ought to rust up pretty quick these days. It’s rained so much here in Kentucky that I’m thinking about getting close to that Ark they built up in northern Kentucky a few years ago. Rock on Brian!!!

Nice color. I’m liking it.
Is that a 65 grain powder measure there on the deck with the rifle??

Sorry, one is an 80 grainer for a guy in VA and the other is only 45 grains.

Wayne it's moving along slowly. My eye that had the shingles in it is giving problems again. Inflamed and infected this time around.

A little more progress today on the rifle. Hope to be rusting up the barrel soon just for vent liners to be delivered.
