Carving knife

I inherited most of Don King's tools after he passed last year and in going through some tool boxes fount this. Wondering what others thought of the makers mark. 
Color of handle did not come through very well. Nicely made.

I believe both the touchmark and knife are the work of the late John Bivins.

I can't say whether John Bivins was selling that carving knife, but I have a set of gun castings by Mr. Bivins and they carry that mark.

I bought one of those knives from John. I think it was during a class he taught for the NMLRA in Bowling Green, KY. I seem to recall it was from D-2 high speed steel.
