I might be convinced it’s a Leman smoothbore, from the 1850’s, but not a Hawken from The 1830’s. This is clearly a late production muzzleloader, if indeed it is an antique at all. There is no signature, and nothing Hawken like in the furniture, or styling, that points that direction. I think this is somebodies get rich dream.

Wow!
I think you guys are really being tough on such a fine piece.
For only $150,000 it'd be hard to do much better. ;) ??? :o
It's probably marked Hakim not Hawken!

Is this a joke...…  $150,000.00....  At $21,000.00 the half stock that Cable linked on proxiebid looks better.

I wouldn't honour this seller with a reply.  He's clearly out to lunch.  Not worth another look, and definitely, not the effort to answer him.

He wants more for shipping than the gun is worth.

You guys didn't read the fine print, with this kind of documentation, it gotta be legit!!!~

""""" I found an identical gun on a webpage of original Hawken guns. But I haven’t been able to locate it again maybe you can have more luck. I have had several so called experts who they don’t think it a Hawken but the guy with the website says it is so I’m going with him.''''''

It doesn't look like much more than a south american monkey gun.

Scam or idiot.
Both: Its definitely a scam, and anyone clever could come up with much a better one.

OMG, you guys are so jealous.  This is why it is so hard to get a great rifle posted on here. You guys tear it apart.  I am starting to think  there isn't  any of you so called antique long rifle collectors  who know real value & beauty when you see it.  If any of us was so fortunate to own such a piece we would ask far more.

I just read the note under shipping , that only two exist.  You guys better go through your collection and see if the remaining one  is in your closet.
