I would like to see how Jack and Mike sign the rifles they build. Would some one post pictures ?
There is a Brooks rifle for sale that I am looking at.  It is in an estate and they do not know other than Brooks who built it.

Thanks

Here's one by Jack Brooks, but it is on a copy of an antique, so it may be signed in the style of the maker of the original.

Here is another Jack Brooks signature.

If it's mine it will have BROOKS in block letters and probably be numbered at the breech. I started numbering at the breech at 18 or so . If it is earlier than that it could be numbered on the trigger guard rail, trigger plate or the toe of the buttplate.
I'm not familiar with how Jack signs his. It could also be a Cecil, I don't know how he signed his either.

Depends on whether you're standing on your head or not. ;D

And Mike is good enough that he sometimes builds them standing on his head.

(Well ................that's what I was told anyway.  Looks like it's correct ---- if we examine that picture)

I have a picture of a Jack Brooks rifle from the early 80’s. It’s not my rifle, and also not my picture, so I won’t post it, but the signature matches that of the “Brooks” on the lock shown above.

According to my vague records #193 was a built on speculation for an out right sale. If they don't want much for it you may consider buying it for resale.

I am not going to buy the Brooks rifle.  I shoot left handed and it has some cast off for a right handed shooter,

Price is $3500.00

If any one is interested I can put you in contact with the seller.
