Jerry Kirklin's workmanship was perfect. I knew him from the time he left Xler, made a perfect rifle & asked me to comment on authenticity matters. That was the last time I could provide HIM any information. He was kind enough to restore some guns - perfectly, of course - for me. One a Harpers Ferry M1805 in original flint but missing forestock & trigger guard. He borrowed back some complete pistols which he had converted in order to copy missing stuff on my pistol.

That's so nice, and it's classy looking with all incised carving. I like his style on that one. Good thing I'm left handed or I might not be able to resist  :o

Beautiful rifle and great pics. How is the rear sight attached? Maybe just the way I am viewing it.

Is the barrel 7/8" across the flats?

Mony,  The rear sight is dovetailed front and back. He did a very nice job on the sights but the shadow hides a clear view.

EC121,  the barrel is 15/16  Sorry, I should have included that. My bad.

Thank you both for your interest    Tom
