counter sink size??
« on: September 17, 2019, 05:24:58 PM »
Hi Folks,
What is the preferred type and size for a counter-sink for a 5/16" head dia. oval head barrel tang bolt? Degree/angle of cut?
Any preferred number of flutes?
Your advice is much appreciated.

The beauty of those countersinks is that you can cut a parallel sided hole just below the surface of the steel/brass.  This makes finishing up the head of the screw much more robust, than simply filing off a countersunk screw head flush with the surface.
