rlm...sorry,  wasn't knocking you! Just opining about the relative values of antique arms! You certainly are correct, this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain one of the great early longrifles! Even if one cant afford to purchase arms of this stature, the catalog will be an outstanding addition to any collectors library.

Morphys have circulated flyers with colored photos of this rifle at various shows, estimate stated there.

I got to see this rifle on display at the KRA show in June. It is a truly great rifle and I hope that it does not get tucked away either. This rifle along with several early rifles that were on the Presidents display made the long trip from Alabama to Pittsburgh worth it.

It will be interesting to see what one of the great early rifles will bring. It certainly was a treat to see it at KRA. Other legendary rifles like the Kuntz flint swivel and the Hansen collection, there to examine, not behind a glass showcase like in a museum make KRA membership an honor. I’d love to see more new blood joining and sharing their knowledge. I can think of nowhere else you can touch American history like at the annual meeting. It certainly deepened my interest in preserving and researching history.
