Multipurpose Horn
« on: August 05, 2019, 04:31:09 PM »
Main purpose is as a Hunting horn but by unscrewing the mouth piece and screwing in the rounded tip it becomes an Ear Trumpet. Over all it is 20", the bell is about 2 1/2". The collar is threaded 5/8-11 and pinned to the horn. The mouth piece is Cow horn, the ear piece is Antler.

After 50 years of shooting, I need an ear trumpet.

Beautiful work.

With many of us on this Forum at or near our "golden years" (that's age not the color of your undies) you could market them on the "For Sale" page and retire early.

Nice! My wife could use it to call me from the shop but I would also need it to hear her  ;D

That ear trumpet might do just as well, or better, than these high dollar hearing aid stuck in my ears that do such a wonderful job of amplifying all back ground noise.

One of the libraries at UNC-Chapel Hill has a period ear trumpet made of horn.

This is not far-fetched at all.

I am stealing it.

Thanks for posting this Tim.

That's a great slender horn...and as usual some eye pleasing color. Just plain right.
