Brass Barrel Strength?
« on: August 12, 2019, 12:57:39 PM »
Hello all! I’m curious as to the strength of brass as a barrel material. I know period guns, especially blunderbusses and pistols, often used it. But doesn’t brass work harden over time? Eventually, wouldn’t repeated firing cause it to become brittle and possibly burst?

Just wondering the safety of actually firing a brass barrel gun long term. Thanks!
