Pistol barrel sources
« on: September 10, 2019, 06:57:24 PM »
I am looking  for a 3/4" or smaller, possibly tapered,  fast twist, octagon barrel, 36 or 40 cal for a pistol build.  I can not find a maker on line.  Any ideas?

Several years ago, I built several English rifles for a client in Kansas.  I used Green Mountain swamped rifle barrels and cut them at 32", leaving a tapered pistol barrel.  So I now have three ten inch tapered pistol barrels in .32, .40., and .54 cal.  The .40 cal is in a piece of wood already, a project my grandson started.  but I'm afraid he has lost interest in it.

I've got something close if you're interested.
It's was made by Wayne Jenkins.  .32 cal.,  11.5" long, ~ 13/16" at the breech, octagon to round, swamped with fitted flared breech plug.
