Assembly bench
« on: September 20, 2009, 09:50:11 PM »
I have run out of room on my work bench which led me to fabricate a assembly bench where I can put things together, draw, think, and also do light duty filing, sawing and hammering. the bench will have two vices - one metal and one wood working vise. It is light enough to move without dropping a nut but still is stable enough to stay where you put it. The total cost was $62.50. and it was assembled with deck screws and glue. The top is removable (its an interior door) so I can get it out the door and into the back paito when I want to work out side. the frame is 3/4" X 3-1/2" pine with a bottom shelf of 1/4" hardboard which is braced with a pine sub frame.
