Title: A Pennsylvania Dutch Horn
Post by: smorrison on July 29, 2010, 05:10:36 AM
Here's my interpretation of a Pennsylvania Dutch horn.  The horn is inspired by an original shown in Madison Grant's book.  The horn received a Judges Choice ribbon at Dixon's.

I never really paid much attention to this section of the forum,  after Dixon's I will be.

   Beautiful Horn...

I bought a couple horns last weekend my wife and I wish to try our hands at this.

Scott, that is a beautiful horn. It deserved a ribbon, and a bit more in my opinion. Seeing it in person made a big difference as well.

A super, well-executed piece of work.

Jeff

I thank you all for the kind comments on this horn.  It was a fun project to do; the carving was a bit tedious though, but the engraving seemed to come easy.  I usually struggle on that part of my work.  Thanks again all!
