I am looking for a number 12 lock screw. Any ideas on who might have one, before I make it. Old Lock and a 10/32 isn't getting it.

McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) has an extensive selection of screws. I think you can find #12-24 in various head sizes and lengths. You'll have to buy a box of them, though.

Probably best to get a die for 12-32 or whatever the pitch is and make the proper screw if you know what the thread really is. Or just make one if you have a lathe that will cut threads.
Split dies allow some adjustment of the screw size it could be something in between sizes.
Store bought screws look like store bought screws, full threads etc. Guess it depends on what its on.

#12 bolt (.2160") comes in course thd. 24 pitch and 28 pitch is fine thread. I would use the 12-28 for lock screw. McMaster-Carr should have them as will TOTW. I usually get the hole plug welded and re-drill & tap for 8 or 10 size bolts in this case.

It could be metric.

Really unlikely that it is metric Old Ohio made gun. If I have to make it I will just didn't want to.
