Title: Gun For A Nephew
Post by: greybeard on January 16, 2011, 01:15:08 AM
A while back a nephew saw a gun I had builtt and asked me to do one foe him with his name and mine on it. He sent me twice what I quoted him so it comes with everything he will need to use and care for the gun and it all fits in an oak case.  But for the patch box and toe plate the rest of the inlays are sterling.

Greybeard
That is a fine looking rifle, and you have a very fortunate nephew!
It is nice to have some of our younger people to carry the torch.
Best regards
Old Ford

Hi Capt;  .50 + 15/16 + 42.. I made the faceted thimbles and the single trigger set up. The carving and engraving designs are my own interpetation of work done by the oldtimers. I have never seen or handled an original so every thing I do has to be gleand from pics and my imagination so there are a lot of elements that are perhaps not historicaly? correct.
Thanks for responding
