really captures it well, totally believable. I was sure the Grinslade book would inspire some terrific work. This is the first fine British style fowler I've seen since the book came out. Like them, do you know of others?

Chuck has built several great fowlers in recent years - ranging from full-on English Georgian style to English-influenced American looking pieces. There are a couple more of his on the Blog if you search back to earlier posts. I think Chuck is one of the best contemporary builders out there - really love his work - you see the Hershel influence but his guns all carry his own distinctive style that you can spot.
Another guy who builds extraordinary colonial style fowlers (as well as all kinds of other cool stuff) is Ken Gahagan. Everything I have seen by his hand is top notch.
