Failing eyesight, old age and the infirmities that go with it have altered my ability to build from scratch. I am looking at buying a kit or maybe one "in-the-white". I want to stay active in BP. I've heard a lot of good things about TVM and their products. I would appreciate any comments and/or suggestions you folks may care to share about TVM or maybe other sources out there. I'm particularly concerned about lag time from order placement. tHnka in advance for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim Chambers and Jim Klein make superb high quality rifle/fowler kits.

I've never dealt with TVM but I know lots of folks speak very highly of them. Pecatonica River and Dave Keck (Knob Mountain Muzzleloaders) are the ones I generally deal with and I have had great service from both.

I'm pretty sure, our own Mike Brooks has a 'kit' or two (2) or 'in-the-white' pieces that you can purchase from him... highly recommended. ;D So, gather responses to your post, shop around for what will make you happy and come back to ask questions. One other thing, don't forget to use the search feature; it holds a wealth of information and is at your disposal. Good luck!!

Give Tip Curtis a call. 616-654-4445 He always has a wide variety of styles and calibers on hand in kits and in-the-white. He would probably be the quickest on almost finished.
Pecatonica River has good products too.

Check out Cabin Creek's well-thought out kits. CabinCreek.net.

Since putting in a plug for every kit and component builder out there seems to be en vogue on this thread, don't forget Dunlap Woodcrafts. Wayne and Danny have several nice component sets, including a fine Isaac Haines set available.

Personally, I would want to know all my options before proceeding with a kit purchase and, indeed, there are some businesses I was not aware made kits. I will check them out. So, even though I didn't ask the question, thanks to all. I presume the helpful folks here make suggestions based on their positive experiences.
But I guess some people just find such things gauche. It's fun to use French words on occasion. :D

Johnny
