Title: Black Powder Can?

I have an old 1/2 pound black powder can with a screw top, estimated between 1860 and 1880. The can is black with a label on one side only - New York Sporting
                                       (Logo overlaid letters) NYSP
                                                                             Powder
                                                                           New York
The label is black with gold colored border and gold lettering. There are no other markings on the can. It still has black powder inside which is still loosely granulated. Does anyone out there know anything about this and/or it's value.
