I just got some fresh bear fat. I've used bear grease for patch lube but never bear oil. For a cold weather hunting lube, is there much difference?
Thanks,
Bill

I don't see any differance except for the viscosity .I use the grease to lube my patches, lube the bore (after cleaning) and the oil on the moving parts in the lock and triggers. Best product I've found to keep my fire stick in good order.

Brian Barker, was selling bear oil at the CLA. This was rendered down, and is the best I've ever tried. Use it for patches, and for finish oiling, before they go in the safe. My Labs love it as it smells like salmon.
