The annual show at Norris this past weekend was great, as usual. I think many who were there would agree that this year in particular saw one of the biggest aggregations of fine Tennessee and other southern rifles ever displayed in one place and time. There was really great variety of rilfes from all over the south, and other areas as well. Not many places you can go and see multiple examples of rifles by the Bean family, Bulls, Lawings, all together.
This show is a gem and Mr. and Mrs. Elliott deserve a lot of thanks and credit for setting this one up every year. The collectors who bring out these great pieces and share them with us at these shows also deserve a lot of thanks.

I'll second that! Special thanks to Wayne, his lovely wife, as well all the others that I'm sure helped plan for and put this on. It really seems to have grown the last couple of years. Both in size and quality of exhibits.

Boo and I appreciate your kind words, gentlemen. And we thank each of you for your contribution to another great show. The buzz started before the doors opened and continued throughout the show. It was great fun. With the inspiration and help of Randal Pierce, we are already planning a surprise for next year's show, April 19-20, 2013.

Congratulations Wayne and Boo on another great one, gets better every time! All of the time and effort you have been putting into the event definitely shows. Fans of the Southern Longrifle who have not been to the show, take note of next year's date and do whatever you need to do to get there!

This show is well worth the trip. My wife and I haven't missed it for several years and have no intention of missing the next one. It is well worth the 12 hour drive. Thanks for your efforts to have a great show. The BBQ ain't bad either ;D

Boo and I appreciate the thanks, but others contribute to making the show work. Randal Pierce, Andy Mock and Barbara and Buford Blanton help to make it happen. Folks like Art and Jan Riser and the ALR administrators give us good publicity. But, most importantly, folks are willing, as Gibster indicated, to drive a long ways and bring out their best longrifles and accouterments to share with us. Thanks to all of you. We are already looking forward April 19-20, 2013!!

I would also like to thank Wayne and all the other people that helped to put on the show in Tenn.
I would also like to thank them for letting this unknown gun builder to display my work on southern guns along side some of the best originals southern guns known.
THANKS!

One of the great things about the small regional shows is you are able to visit with people for longer than a few minutes. This is such a great time of year to travel to Tennessee. The setting at the Museum of Appalachia is so beautiful and relaxing. This show is such a great mix of the old and the new. There are so many different places around the museum to photograph. But in the end it is all about the people. Jan Riser

Its a small show but the most iron mounted rifles I've ever seen in one place. Thanks Wayne.
