Hello ;anyone here have a good closeup of origional J Golcher flintlock?I have a converted one,and just wondered what it looked like in flint.Thanks,Dave

There is one on the Contemporary Makers Blog Spot - about a month back.  If you do a search for "Antique flintlock" or "original flintlock"  or just look through the June and July postings you should find it.

It is a good example of one of those locks with the English plate shape we associate with the high end locks but very much less refined internals common on the export/trade locks. 

Have seern these locks used on signed and dated southern  rifles as late as 1847 and some I suspected were made later.

The photos are from June 12th and there are three views of the lock.
