Hi Guys!
I do some small repears on this nice Blunderbuss for a buddy, nice pirat killer ;) Cal ca 10 and out to ca 2-3/4" good chocke hehe. Barrel lengd 22-1/4"

Marine heritage? Looks like it was a rail gun from the hole in the stock.

Definitely looks like it was drilled for mounting on a swivel. I need one of these, you never know when pirate problems will happen. . . .

Hi Guys!
Here is a nice Spencer with a ca 12" brass barrel cal 16mm in the breech. A spring loaded bajonet ca 9" this gun for very close fight!

The most common use for the blunderbuss {UK}was the stage coach because of the short barrel could be tucked away under the drivers seat ,it was also mainly used by prison jailers especially those with the spring bayonet once again could be used easily in a small place.

The lock on the GILL gun is much later than 1705, and I don't believe original to the gun.

In Ireland the HIGHWAYMEN carried the blunderbuss. E.g., Willie Brennan of County Cork.
