Title: Turned Powderhorn Plug
Post by: mtgelaude on January 07, 2009, 07:01:12 AM
I am making some powderhorns for the first time, and would like to put a turned base plug on one of them.  I have used a shaping cone and have the butt ready, but I do not have the expierence, exuipment or desire to make a turned plug at this time, unless making one would be easy.  Does anybody know where to find a turned plug for sale, or is it possible to have one made.  I could either send the horn to them or send them the demnsions.  Thanks in advance for the help.

I`m primarily a Rifle Maker but make a dozen or so horns a year. If you can`t find someone close by to make the plugs, I`d consider helping you out.

Thanks to everyone who helped me.  I have come up with a solution, one of the members of this board have me a line on a man who could make one for me.  Thank you very much.
