Title: National Wild Turkey Federation's "Jakes Day "
Post by: Michigan Flinter on June 09, 2013, 11:45:05 PM
I helped out again this year at the National Wild Turkey Federations "Jake Day"event. It was held here in central Michigan near Alma . We had five hundred and fifty kids come through and most of them shot the muzzle loaders some of them quite a few times. We didn't have one kid misbehave or be disrespectful and quite a few said thanks after they shot . There was all kinds of outdoor events they could take part in from fly tying ,fishing, birdhouse making, bow shooting ,to shooting shotgun,22,BB,and also knife and hawk . It was a long day and another long day cleaning all the rifles but very rewarding helping our youth. If you get a chance to help out the kids please do. Eric D. Lau
