I'm thinking Hawken?

Yep, either early Hawken or a generic flint Plains rifle. Since I understand that no early Hawken examples are known to exist, the only examples you can use are existing modern interpretations. Check out some examples at Track of the Wolf.

That 1" x 7/8" barrel is sweet, good balance and weight in a Hawken. Bill

I agree, it's a full stocked Hawken rifle, and looks pretty good too, from the pics.   Going to be awful light though.

I have been wanting to do one of those from a Don Stith kit for along time. Would make a dandy hunting rifle. Is that a late ketland lock? Looks like your doing good on it. Let us know how she turns out.

Thanks everyone.... I got a ton of parts to go through. I will post some pics of the lock parts and maybe I can figure out how to put it together.

I dug through some boxes and found these parts... Looks like all the lock parts are there. The trigger guard fits perfect. Not sure if the rest of the parts are for this rifle. Sight? Patchbox?
