Title: Pachmayer gun stock blank

I bought this at a yard sale here, and was wondering what it's good for. It's Walnut, 37 7/8 long, 2 3/8 thick and 6 5/.8 at it's widest point.  It's also marked AAAAA, and seems pretty old.

A jaeger, or a half-stocks: Hawken, Eng sporting gun, or New York/New England rifle.
