Here's Jack, one of the boys in my Cub Scout Pack, with the hunting pouch he made over the summer and fall.

He did almost every step himself, under his parents' supervision. He never comes to Scouts without it.

Looks like he did a nice job on it. I'll bet he is proud of it. You should be too.

That's a real nice job there Jack. I like your choice of colors for the cut out and the flap binding. It goes nicely with the bag color. You can be very proud of that, as well as Dad, Mom and of course, Scout Master Luck......Keep up the good work !!

That is very nice. I wasn't doing work that good at his age. This kid needs all the encouragement and support he can be provided. We need more like him.

I have boy scouts that don't do anything that ambitious and they're earning the Leatherworking Merit Badge!! So many of today's scouts want to complete something in a few hours time. It's nice to see someone with some stick-to-it-ive-ness. That's a great looking pouch Jack.

I like making hunting pouches but boy its a bunch of sewing and most of mine are not that fancy.

Now that is nice work. Allot of adults can't do that quality of work.

Wow!!! I'll tell ya what. That boy should be really proud. I am a Den leader for a WEBLOS 1 den and that bag would be beyond what most of them would attempt. You have to tell me, was this a den project and if so how did you pull it off? I mean, how did you plan it? How many meeting did this take. I would love to show them this.
Did you guys see the article in MB this month on the sixth grade boy that built the flintlock rifle? I saw it hanging in Gunmakers hall this fall and was just floored by the effort he put into it.
