Title: V.CHR: Schilling in SUHL Rifle 1842

I do some repairing on this rifle maybee someone like to see details :) Nice release meckanism on the wood patchbox lid ;) Cal ca 58" - BL ca 29"

It looks like there is some writing engraved in the silver "spade" inlay ahead of the trap box lid. Wonder what it says? Thank you runastav for showing us this fine old German big bore!

Missing bit of wood ramrod and horn tip made. New fly pin see the nice lock mechanism innside. The hammer spur was broke off I silversolder a new bit and file to shape. And I replase a wornout nipple. See the old weld in the midle of the hammer? It is NOT me hehe ;)

Good looking lock and not too hard to copy.Sort of a fancy
style of Hawken lock with a two position tumbler.

Then I saw that it is on the inside of the tumbler. Nice touch.
