Title: patch box lid springs

  is there any examples of p/b lid springs, any help?

Look at the Dickert photos that John posted on your latch question.. The opening spring can be seen near the hinge.

I make the kicker spring out of a worn out hack saw blade.

There is a topic in the tutorial section by Ken Guy that may be of help.  I use his method to make PB springs and it works out well for me.

I cut all my patchbox springs out of 1/32" 1095 with aviation shears.  Just file the edges, bend to shape and heat treat.  Quick and easy.
