I was looking for information on Jacob Young and came across this article on Tennessee rifles. There are a lot of photographs. It takes a few seconds to load on broadband and I'd be reluctant to try it over dial up.

Larry,
Thanks for posting. I had an old copy but finding it online is a real treat. There's a lot of great information in Robin's presentation. Anyone studying TN rifles would do well to print a copy and review every couple of years.
Thanks,
Ken

I too, have an original copy of this article. It may well have been the earliest discussion of the subject, in written form, by anyone.

I've had a copy of the article for a long time ,and my copy shows the use of all these years
Thanks for posting the article on line I'll run off a clean copy.
I had always hoped that this paper would turn into a book

That rifle shown in Figure 8 and 9, in Robin Hale's book, now resides in the ALR library. Here is the link to it : http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=14832.0
