Has anyone studied/researched George Washingon's 11 Gauge that is on display at Mount Vernon? I looked at it as close as I could and really liked how it looked, but didn't see detailed info. I am curious as to who made it and how he got it. I would think he ordered it up from some London gunshop but maybe not.

No I didnt see anything. The gauge and time periods were given on the case and the fact that Washington loved to hunt ducks. All of his items were well cared for during his lifetime....swords and guns, I noticed.
