I built this rifle for my father to say "thank you" for all he's given me and helping me to become the man I am today. I just thought I'd share it with you guys here, hope you all enjoy.

Bear, you'd better tell your dad ahead of time to tie his socks on good and tight. This gift of art and love is going to bowl him over, blow his socks right off. Beautiful.
I got all choked up reading your words. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I felt my Dad was well worth the effort in building this rifle and it came as a total surprise to him when it was presented to him (in front of family and friends). I failed to mention some of the interesting things I did on this rifle such as the BONE ramrod pipes (which I'll never do again, LOL!) and bone thumb piece (now engraved with crossed tomahawks) I must tell you also that the engraving is not very traditional and was only my second attempt. This gun was about half way built when my teacher was...incapacitated? for a term of 24 months or so. So much of it was finished on my own with some advice from Larry Gardener (thanks Larry!).

Beautiful rifle. You got talent :)

Very nicely done, I firmly believe your father will feel thanked!!! Lots of nice detail on that rifle.
