Very nice job!  The inlays look great.  How do you keep those leaf portions to stay?  Small copper brads and then filed flush?
Now you'll have to make a leather holder for your belt.   ;D

thanks gary, yes the leaves are pinned in with very small copper pins i made as the leaves are copper also...it has a mixture of copper, silver and brass through out the entire handle.wanted to give it a real folksy look and didnt want it to look new.i wanted to give it the feel that it was made on the frontier!!!!

Very nice "hawk" and it does look "folksy" ;). What are the head dimensions - how long is the handle? Looks to me like it is a hefty hawk and will dispatch anything it contacts ;) ;)

thanks paul, the handle is 19"long and the head from blade end to tip of the point on the spike is 10"long and was forged from a ballpean hammer.....and why yes it would dispatch just about anything it came into contact with.....

Very nice!  I really like the blade and spike design, the fancy stuff is cool too.
