DOUBLE WOW! Looks like young Jesse learned well...from the BEST at this type of aged work. Fabulous engraving!
I used to run into Jud at "Pa" Keelers down in Eaton Rapids Mi. where we both got our parts in the old days, before he moved to Alaska. He's gone FAR!

Real nice interpretation of Isaac Berlin's work.  Love the patchbox which is creative but has the signatures present in a Berlin rifle.

A great rifle. An interpretation of something that the source might have done ,yet original.

The Contemporary Makers Blogspot is run by Art and Jan Riser - who have done an awful lot to bring these fine pieces into a forum where more people can enjoy them.  They're nice folks too.  Like this site, I really look forward to checking out what's new on there each morning.

That Brennan rifle is something else - there's a lot of Virginia influence on that piece as well, but blended into is something totally unique.
