Title: Bill Newton of Rivers Rest Ranch North Fork Wyoming Lock Drawing(s)
Post by: ddoyle on June 06, 2015, 09:51:47 AM
I came across a copy of an impressive drawing of a Ketland Pistol Lock drawn by:Bill Newton of Rivers Rest Ranch North Fork Wyoming. The drawing is marked #3 which makes me think there is other work of his out there. Does anyone know who Mr Newton was/is? Did he publish?

Thanks

He was known as Pryor Mtn Bill
he published a lot of things on flintlock and smooth bores
I have a few of his books
one is a greatly detailed book on flintlock pistols

Thanks Elk Killer, That helped. Reading Mr. Newtons Obituary I see that he was both a teacher and Degree holder in Visual Arts. Explains the appeal of the drawing I found.

I also see that he published a book on Antique Firearms for Young Readers. Now there is something unique and very admirable.

Thanks again.
