Title: Pistol forestock
Post by: longcruise on November 10, 2015, 10:47:16 PM
On a pistol, should the forestock be thinner than what would typically be done on a rifle?  Presently it's at 1/8"  so there is plenty of room to reduce or It could be left on the stout side.

I would start out the same and take a little off if it looks too fat.   A lot will depend on the lock and the thickness of the bolster.   As all the dimensions are a little smaller, I would say you will end up a little thinner.   You still want it rounded.   Don't take off so much that I starts to look flat.

Thanks,  Mark.  Particularly regarding not getting it too flat.
