I have a new workshop which provides the opportunity to rethink everything.
We have covered workbenches and vises well here.
What ideas do we have for holding:
1) Chisels and gouges
2) Files

Take a look at the picture that Jim Chambers posted in the Lock Polishing thread of not too long ago. In the background is a nice way to hold tools.

Here's my solution......
Plastic coffee "can" file holder. I cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to fit in the bottom with holes drilled for the file tips to sit in.

And a rack for my gouges and chisels....
