Title: Lanning rifle on Contemporary Makers -Don't Miss It!!!

There is a wonderful Earl Lanning rifle featured on the contemporary makers blog today, http://www.contemporarymakers.blogspot.com/ , and the pictures of the rifle and the tribute to Earl Lanning by Mel Hankla are a rare treat that you don't want to miss.  I guess that rifle would have to be the ultimate graduation gift, but read the story for the details.  The pictures are the best, but the story behind it and the tribute to Mr. Lanning is guaranteed to warm your heart.

Ever since I first saw Lanning's work in Buchele's book on recreating the longrifle, I've been drooling.  Surprised my wife married me anyway.
