Title: Will Hollis marked rifle

A friend of mine showed me a heavy barreled plains half stock rifle with a percussion lock marked Will Hollis.  Nothing on the barrel.  Says it's been in the family for awhile.  I don't have any pics.  Was wondering where would be a good start to find out more info?

Hollis was a Birmingham  lock maker in the late 1840's. Pic might help pin down the gun.
