Title: File Holder Shelf Design
Post by: rtc on March 20, 2016, 06:14:31 PM
[RC file rack III.jpg][/RC file rack IV.jpg](How does one add images to messages??)
This is a design I created this week, probably thought of by any one of us, to hold any size file ready at hand with the least fuss. It uses two metal shelf brackets (I used a few antique ones), mounted against the wall with a thin wooden piece notched to fit over the bracket and down against the wall in order to keep the files from digging into the surface. Atop the horizontal bracket surface is mounted a 3/4" dowel matched with another dowel at the end of the bracket arm. That's it!

A file is placed end first over the outer dowel and tucked under the dowel against the wall. Gravity hold them in place arranged as you use & need them.

RTC,

Welcome to ALR.  Picture files cannot be uploaded directly to ALR, they must be stored somewhere on the web.  They can be on your own webpage, or one of the photo hosting sites such as PhotoBucket, Tinypic, etc.

Here's a link to a tutorial on posting pictures.  http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=10.0

Looking forward to seeing your file rack.

Thanks, Ron. That makes sense when you think of how it could be abused as a privilege!
