Just out of curiosity, is there a rule of thumb as to what size White Lightning liner recommended for say; A, B or C weight barrels?
-
I always use the 1/4 inch an that way if I mess something up (which I have done before) or I every shoot it enough so it needs to be changed then you can go up in size ;D
-
Same here on using 1/4". There is no difference in the performance of the different sizes as far as I know and the 1/4"er gives me a lot more wiggle room It allows for a slightly skinnier lock area.
-
I also use the 1/4" because it allows for more leeway when positioning the TH. Because the lock on a Bucks County is positioned high as w/ a Lehigh, the 1/4" works perfectly. Haven't screwed up an installation as yet, but the !/4" would give a second chance. The BC LR below has the 1/4" White Lightning just missing the corner of the flat.....Fred

Well, I guess I'm odd. (who would a thunk it?) I use 5/16". I go with the 3/8" for 10's 11's and 12 bores.
-
If I had put in as many as you Mike then I could start with a 5/16

Whatever fits within the flats of the barrel. Mostly, I use 5/16".
