There's a nice Tingle .45 on auction. Curious to see what it fetches. Part of me says I should get a second one, but the other part says "why do you need TWO?"

Save your money and buy better. Look at the rifles on Track Of The Wolf's online catalog.
There are some excellent buys.
A friend of mine who is stationed here at Fort Bragg, bought a real nice flint longrifle with a swamped octagon barrel for about $2K from T.O.T.W. He graduated to that from his experiences with the Pedersoli flintlock "Blue Ridge Hunter" (picture the Hatfield) and wishes now he had "graduated" earlier than he did.

Agreed, Buck... but it can be fun to have a bit of variety in one's muzzleloading repertoire. The Tingle rifles represent an interesting bit of contemporary history, and the quality of his work seems to have a good reputation. Plus, he didn't make too many of these.
