I have two better quality longrifles from Kentucky with good quality [originally flint] locks marked "S. Moore Warranted." I also have a spare original flint lock for future restoration work with this same marking. The locks appear to me to be a higher quality grade of imported English lock than those normally seen on circa 1810-1835 rifles, with rollered frizen springs, waterproof pans, and hand engraved lock plates.
