Gentlemen,
I am researching the work of John Rigby, Irish gun maker from Dublin specializing in Dueling Pistols circa late 1700’s through early 1800’s. Yup, this is the same Rigby family that went on years later to build the well know African hunting rifles, etc.
I have the book by Atkinson “Dueling Pistols” but I am looking for any other reference material I can get my hands on with respect to the dueling pistols Rigby built. I am especially interested in his earlier work (pre-1800).
Anybody got any suggestions or ideas for other reference sources detailing this man’s work with dueling pistols?
Thanks for the help,
Brian

Well, I don't know too much about John, but I understand that his wife Eleanor, picks up the rice at the church where a wedding has been. Lives in a dream. She died in the church and was buried along with her name. Nobody came. I hope this helps.

P.S. just for you Brian ;)
