Anyone have any ways to blacken solder? I solder on my underribs, and sometimes you get a small joint line of solder that I would like to make go away.

I think Brownells used to sell something for that.

Brownells and Rio Grande jewelers supply sell solder blackening chemical.

People who do stained glass use it and can tell you where to get it.

Birchwood Casey makes solder black, brass black, and aluminum black. Brownells sells all these.

I use solder black from Brownell's and it works great. They have two versions, one for soft and one for silver solder.
