Title: CVA Pistol Flintlock Replacement

Hello to all, new here and still learning a lot. I recently purchased a vintage CVA .45 cal Flintlock Pistol. It has the small spanish maslin lock. Is there a different lock, besides the L&R RPL 01 lock, that can replace the maslin lock, without too much modification. I have basic wood working skills, so hoping nothing to elaborate.

Unless it’s a CVA Mountain pistol, the lock will be the very basic lock they used in their cheaper products. A lock from a Mountain Rifle, Mountain pistol,or a Frontier rifle, will be an upgrade without breaking the bank. These are offered on eBay pretty regularly.
