Rich, I fixed the code for you.  You have to put [img] on both ends.

Thanks for posting your pictures.  I really enjoy seeing other's work.
One thing that sticks in my mind from the judges at Dixon's last July, was my failure to completely inlet the trigger guard returns both front and rear, into the stock.  I see that you have a little of the rear guard return proud of the wood.  Now I try to inlet them right in to the bevel - in other words, only the bevelled or faceted part is above the wood.  I'd like to see more pictures of this rifle.

If the rear is inletted a bit... but appears to stand "too proud" it is a simple matter of making a score mark on guard where the trigger guard sits relative the stock & then taking the guard out and filing the bevel to that point. Some originals were only inlet a wee bit into the wood but you would never know it unless you pull it from it's shallow mortice. ( one of the "mysteries" of the Pa longrifle revealed!) The adjusted bevel can compensate for too shallow  of an inlet.
I don't thing the judges will pull the trigger guards to check. Just adding to the illusion...

Had to work today otherwise I would still be at Dixon's with Tom & Eric. Had a great day yesterday. It sure has got bigger since last I was there

Thanks for pointing that out. I've now fixed it. The front extension was fine, I don't know why I didn't catch the problem with the rear extension.

Hey Rich:
It happens to all of us. I tried using some of Acer's carving tricks on a custom bullet gun these past few weeks & thought I did ok ( teaching this ole dog new tricks... I'm a stabber.)  But when I AF the stock I was perplexed that I had miss a bunch of modeling in some of my volutes and had to re-cut and re-AF (In both cases something I have never done in 26 years but $#@* happens)
