I am looking for a template to print a makers label that goes on the inside of the lid of a cased set of pistols. When I search the web I can find copies of existing labels but no templates where I can make a label that I can modify. If you have information where I can get one please let me know.
Moderators I did not know where to post this if this needs to be moved please do so.
Thanks, Jim

What, pray tell, might be these pistols?

These are the replica of the Washington pistols.

Didn't Dave Rase post a cased set of pistols with a nice custom label some time ago? Perhaps he could help.

Hi Jim,
This is the label I use. Apparently Brad Emig also uses it. I copied it from a good quality photo then erased the text in Photoshop and inserted my own. I will eventually draw my own label. There is no template that I am aware of. Are these Washington's pistols by Hawkins made in the 1750s or the pair given to him by Lafayette? Not that it may matter but the wooden pistol cases we think of were products of the late 1760s and later. Moreover, trade labels glued in the lid did not become fashionable until about 1785s. Prior to that, the maker might leave a trade card loose in the case or none at all. Anyway, below is the label I purloined to use.

The pistols are not mine so I am not sure which pistols they are. Bob Melancon owns the pistols and I am inquiring for him.
Thanks
